For the second check of solar my installer said to me “Do you have a single phase or a 3 phase electricity meter?”

For the third check of solar my installer said to me “ What is your budget for your solar pv installation?”

For the fourth check of solar my installer said to me “Have you checked and made sure that the company installing your solar pv system has all the necessary accrediations to carry out the work correctly?”

For the fifth check of solar my installer said to me “Have you checked the direction of your roof and the substrate in order to ensure your property is suitable for solar?”

For the sixth check of solar my installer said to me “Are there any obstructions either on your roof or around your house that could cause a problem for installation?”

For the seventh check of solar my installer said to me “Are there any shading issues on your roof? If so, it is recommended that you install optimizers or micro inverters”

For the eighth check of solar my installer said to me “ You will need an EPC rating of D or above in order to receive the higher feed in tariff rate.”

For the ninth check of solar my installer said to me “Make sure your electric supplier is one that will honour the feed in tariff payments.”

For the tenth check of solar my installer said to me “ Carefully review and consider the payback time of your investment and ensure it is a profitable venture for you.”

For the eleventh check of solar my installer said to me “Are you planning to stay move house at any point? If so, is solar right for you?”

For the twelfth check of solar my installer said to me “ Once the system is installed and working don’t forget to register the system for the feed in tariff and enjoy the benefits of solar pv.”

Energy bill discount scrapped

According the latest ONS data, UK inflation has now fallen to 4.6% – the lowest it has been in two years. This has largely been attributed to a drop in gas and electricity prices. Amidst the cost of living crisis, cheaper energy will no doubt come as a welcome relief to many.
