Your solar PV system is made up of several components. Through combining these components solar electricity is generated and can then be used to provide power to your home. The main question is how?
The panels which we install on your roof have an intricate system of cells, known as PV cells. These PV cells absorb natural daylight and covert the light into DC Electricity. This raw electricity then passes through an inverter. The inverter will then convert the DC electricity to AC electricity. The usable electricity is then transported to a meter and deployed into your consumer unit ready for operation. Instead of using chargeable electricity from the mains supply you will use the free electricity you have generated. Any excess electricity generated will then be used to charge your batteries or will be exported back to the grid.
