From Tuesday 14th to Thursday 16th October 2014, the UK’S leading dedicated solar event is taking place at the NEC in Birmingham. The 5th Solar Energy UK (SEUK) will be celebrating the hard work and expertise of 3,100 UK based solar pv installers.
One of the main focal areas of the event will be the Installer Central Feature Area. This, one of 4 areas, will be supported by Gold Sponsor, Trina Solar and Supporting Sponsor CCL components and is the place to see the latest developments in off-grid technology, voltage optimisation, roof mounting kits and energy storage. All of which are becoming more and more relevant in the renewables market.
There will be a strong focus on developing solar propositions that allow for retrofits and system “tune-ups” as well as practical workshops demonstrating how to install the most recent technological developments. There will also be advice given to installers on how to upsell their particular company’s solar proposition.
SEUK is not only focused on demonstrating and educating, there will also be a lively and interactive debate in the key session “What’s next for MCS?”. Here, installers and industry leaders will have a discussion with the aim of producing a constructive and relevant report to feedback to the industry. One method of feedback will be in the form of an opinion poll. Solar Power Portal are set to ask installers to what extent they agree with the following statement:
“Current installer standards agencies are supporting the progression of the UK solar PV industry.”
After the dust has settled from the nationwide solar extravaganza, installers can look forward to 2015’s version of the Solar Energy UK Roadshow. This will be a series of half day seminars which will no doubt prove to be very beneficial and educational.
