Solar Panels and the Solar system is made up of several elements: an inverter, a meter and your already installed consumer unit, through combining these three elements Solar Electricity is generated and powers your home, the question is, how?
The panels which we install on your roof have an intricate system of cells, known as PV cells. These PV cells absorb natural daylight and covert the light into DC Electricity. This raw electricity then passes through an inverter converting the absorbed light into usable electricity. The usable electricity is then transported to a meter and deployed into your consumer unit ready for operation. Instead of using chargeable electricity from the mains supply you will use the free electricity you have generated. Any ‘spare’ electricity can be exported or sold back to the grid.
